Tissue Paper Pom Poms

Pom are really cute accessories that can be places around the house, outdoors, and special events.  They are cute, simple and can add character to a room. The plus side to this is that these are really trendy and they are starting to pop up more and more. The down side is that some can run up from eleven to thirty dollars, which to me is crazy because just by looking at them I could figure out how to make them, and I wouldn’t doubt that other people couldn’t figure it out either. So for those who are not the reading type, feel free to just look at the pictures because I assure you that you will be able to catch on just as well as those who read my blogs too. Hakuna Matata.
What you will be needing for these lovely pom poms will be:

six to ten sheets of tissue paper:

a strand of string or ribbon:

scissors:

florist wire/fishing wire:

The first thing you will want to do is to take your six to ten sheets of tissue paper and put them all in a neat stack so that all ends are aligned with each other.

Starting from the end, begin folding the tissue paper in inch by inch accordion style until you reach the end

Press the tissue paper together so that they don’t move around and by the ends of the paper, take the scissors and snip the ends pointed, rounded, or arrowed. Complete this action on both sides.

In the center of the tissue paper, tie the center with the string. Tight enough so that tissue paper is secure, loose enough so that it doesn’t rip or tear.

tie the string or fish/foral wire to the centered string so that it will be able to be suspended.

fluff out the tissue paper to get your pom pom design.

**Note**

future refrences, feel free to try different shades of one color for a floral look or every other sheet of tissue paper a different color for a striped look!

Thanks for reading!
